Pet Friendly Living in Downtown St. Pete

The ‘Burg, as we affectionately call our downtown community, is known to have a pet friendly vibe. In fact, the Real Estate website, Zumper, ranks St. Petersburg as the #1 Most Pet Friendly City in the Country! Most of the outdoor cafes that line Beach Drive cater to guests and their pets with doggie bowls of water and treats. Pets relax in the shade of large restaurant umbrellas while their owners get to enjoy a downtown outdoor vibe. Cassis American Brasserie even has a special menu for dogs! Pass by the main strip on any given day and you will feel the mutual love for pets happening in our little city.

Maybe it is the fact that St. Petersburg is sunny most days of the year with mild winters and miles of connected sidewalks to stroll that makes our city so alluring to dog lovers. When our architects and builders got together to design the Salvador, they made pets a priority.

Not only are residents allowed to have pets in their homes at the Salvador, but we will have a state-of-the-art dog walk area. Owners and their dogs will be able to socialize with other dog owners in the building as they meet-up in this special area. We will even have an outdoor cleaning station to make it easy for you to have fun with your dog and not worry about dirt being trekked into your home.
A focus on outdoor living and amenities means you and your pet will be happy to have chosen our new condo tower as your home. There are nearby dog parks and plenty of dog friendly beaches giving your dog the ability to be out and about as long as you choose.

The Salvador Construction Video & Photos

The Salvador – Construction Video & Photos

Here we go! Our contractor is on site and construction on our 13-story boutique condo tower, The Salvador has begun. What a change a couple of months make! The run-down buildings that were on this conveniently located lot in Downtown St. Petersburg were demolished to make way for our Green-Certified Condominium Tower. The Salvador will become the residential cornerstone of Downtown St. Pete’s “Arts & Innovation District”. This neighborhood is happening, with growth as vibrant start-ups move into the area and education institutes like USF St. Petersburg expand. More people are seeking out urban centers to call home because of their walkability and easy access to culture, dining and waterfront views.

The contractor is beginning to scrape and grade the site, leaving trees along the property line that will be a part of The Salvador’s earth-friendly landscaping. Then, the foundation survey will begin, followed by stone column installation. This construction is expected to take three weeks. Once the foundations are in, we will install the storm-water vault.

We know you are eager to move in so we will continue to post updates on our progress. Keep checking back!

Innovation District in Downtown St. Petersburg

Why is the Innovation District the best Neighborhood in Downtown St. Petersburg?

Downtown St. Petersburg’s (DTSP) exponential growth is giving rise to new neighborhood districts that are quickly establishing their unique identities and resident cultures. An area known as the “Innovation District,” is at the forefront of downtown’s growth, and the art-inspired mid-rise condominium tower, The Salvador, will be the residential cornerstone of this rapidly changing neighborhood.

The Innovation District is located in the south end of Downtown St. Petersburg and is near the University of South Florida-St. Petersburg campus (USFSP), The Poynter Institute, All Children’s Hospital, Mahaffey Theater, The Dalí Museum and Bayfront Medical Center. And with the announcement of the latest addition to the neighborhood, the Innovation Lab @Poynter, the neighborhood’s identity continues to be linked with innovation.

The Poynter Institute is a global leader in journalism education, and their recent announcement of the newly created Innovation Lab @Poynter means that nine cutting edge, digital startup companies will reside in the Innovation District. It is one of the largest clusters of startup companies in the Tampa Bay region and will help to invigorate DTSP and the entire region.

To describe the cluster of businesses moving into the Innovation District, Deputy Mayor Kanika Tomalin explained on Fox News that they are all, “innovators who move the ball forward in their specific sectors.”

Vibrant startups, education institutes, world-renowned museums, outdoor cafes and nightlife, healthcare facilities and a grocery store all within walking distance, will make the Innovation District a sought out area of town for business and pleasure.

The Salvador will be the first condominium tower in DTSP to achieve Green certification, incorporating sustainability into its unique, art-influenced design. The outdoor amenities will continue to link sustainability to quality design with a solar heated pool, a dog-friendly area with washing station, yoga area and fire-pit. All of this and more, keep The Salvador Condominiums a part of the innovation that you would expect from this vibrant neighborhood.

In 2014, the World Cup hit record television viewership in the United States as the sport of Soccer is growing across the country. A sport that has inspired loyalty among European, Russian and African fans for years is finally catching up in the United States. If you or your kids are interested in Soccer, then a night out in downtown St. Petersburg for a Tampa Bay Rowdies game will make the whole family happy.

With a recent renovation to Al Lang Stadium and its waterfront location, this is the perfect place to watch our professional soccer team. There is lots of fan loyalty for the Tampa Bay Rowdies with “Ralph’s Mob” providing the chants and cheers you would expect from passionate fans. When you are at the games, you get a sense that everyone is having a great time and enjoying a world-class professional soccer club.

Even the soccer players seem happy to be here. They often can be seen signing autographs after the game and engaging with their fans and the little kids in the audience. As Goalkeeper Kamil Contofalsky from the Russian Premier League recently said about his move to the Tampa Bay Rowdies, “It’s a dream destination for any football player from Europe.”

You can begin your soccer night tailgating in the parking lot with a nice picnic and drinks or taking a short walk for food and drinks at the Rowdies Den. Either way, you know the night is going to end with a wonderful sporting experience that is unique to our sweet home in the ‘Burg.

Can’t wait to walk to the games!
