Explore Downtown St. Pete

One of the benefits of urban living is that you are close to it all – arts and culture, sport venues, parks and recreation, shopping, dining, and nightlife. At The Salvador, you can enjoy all that downtown has to offer within walking or biking distance, plus all of the luxury amenities that our residences provide. St. Pete is named “The Sunshine City” for its 360 days of sunshine a year. So, get outside and explore your new neighborhood. We promise there is something new to discover at every turn.

First Friday Block Party
Every month begins with First Friday, a block party along Central Avenue, with live music, food, drinks, and fun. In the heart of downtown, Central Avenue is closed to traffic and the weekend is kicked off in style by locals and visitors alike. Enjoy alfresco sidewalk dining at popular restaurants, walk through the streets and sample everything from freshly shucked oysters to microbrews, or secure a highly saught-after balcony table to get a bird’s eye view of the action and enjoy a drink with friends.

Moscato’s Underground – 475 Central Avenue N.
A hidden gem of downtown St. Pete, Moscato’s Underground is a 2,500 square foot cavern at the foot of a grand staircase underneath Moscato’s Bella Cucina. This hip and local bar/nightclub hosts local jazz and cabaret talent every Tuesday, Saturday, and first Friday of the month. Moscato’s Underground is adorned with vintage couches and loveseats and is the perfect oasis for a nightcap after dinner.

Furnish Me Vintage – 1246 Central Avenue
In the market for furniture that’s eclectic, collected, and just off the beaten path? Then make sure to stop by Furnish Me Vintage to uncover their mid-century modern, contemporary, and vintage treasures. Even if you’re not a buyer, Furnish Me Vintage is a place to stop, browse, and discover. The shop is brimming with beautifully crafted furniture and the owners are always happy to talk about their vintage and restored pieces.

The St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club – 599 Mirror Lake Drive N.
All things retro are cool again. As is the case with shuffleboard. Once a popular spectator sport, shuffleboard has made a comeback, thanks to hipster millennials. The Mirror Lake Shuffleboard Club complex was built in the 1920’s and restored to the grandeur of its heyday. With 65 courts, grandstands, and over 600 members, the St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club is the oldest shuffleboard club in the world. You can experience the St. Pete Shuffle every Friday night from 7-11pm or open courts on Tuesday and Thursdays from 6-9pm, when the club opens its doors to the public.
