Construction Update From Our Team #condosforsaledowntownStPete

construction update

WE ARE UNDER CONSTRUCTION! The Salvador is under construction and we couldn’t be more excited about our luxury condo tower becoming a prominent fixture and home for the residents of  the Arts and Innovation District.

As you can see from the photos above, the crane has arrived and is getting to work on-site. According to our development team, progress is taking place with construction moving forward as planned, despite the unusually rainy Summer the bay area has been experiencing. “Stone column work has begun and is expected to take several weeks. We are clearing the area, removing the trees, and hoping it stays reasonably dry for the next few weeks!” says Bowen Arnold of DDA Development.

We will keep you posted as the DDA team and their partners continue the transformation of our neighborhood!

Shopping in the ‘Burg #condosforsaledowntownStPete

When you think of a cosmopolitan city, one of the first things that come to mind is great shopping. Spend a day walking around Downtown St. Petersburg, and you will find a wide assortment of quality shopping options that will satisfy people of all ages.

With the opening of the SunDial in downtown St. Pete, the choices have never been more abundant. The Sundial is an open air mall filled with retail stores and restaurants. Walking around the SunDial means that you could buy yourself a great pair of yoga pants from the Lululemon showroom or a perfect fitting pair of jeans from the Florida Jean Company. Also, the Locale Market has a large selection of hand crafted marinades and sauces for the home chef to experiment with their culinary creations.

Central Avenue is the place to go for local, funky shops to satisfy the hipster in all of us. Stroll the avenue and you will find vintage clothing, local art for sale, and even a great board store for all your skateboarding needs. The 600 Block is known for the art walks they coordinate and the store Blue Lucy even sells their own, World TEE, T-shirt design putting St. Pete up there with cities like Tokyo and Paris.

The art galleries in the downtown area, like the Chihuly, the Dali, and the Museum of Fine Arts all have wonderful gift shops that are open to the public. All three museums are just a short stroll from each other along Beach Drive, which has many cute boutiques that will pique your shopping interests.

If it is antiques that you are interested in, then the Grand Central District is the place to go. Just like any city, finding great shops in the ‘Burg is all about walking and exploring. With an average of 360 days of sunshine, you have the perfect weather for shopping and walking.

Top Ways to Get Fit In St. Pete

When you walk through downtown St. Pete, the core of city living seems to be embedded in a healthy lifestyle. There are organic pizza places, places to purchase local fish, people taking their dogs for a walk, sunset sailing, and so much more to experience. In this city, you don’t need a traditional gym to get fit.

Here are our Top 4 Ways To Get Fit In St. Pete Without Going to the Gym:

1.     Go for a Walk or Ride Your Bike
Our city has 360 days of sunshine thus dubbing it the “Sunshine City”. With all that sunshine and the consistent bay breezes, a walk or bike ride outside is a perfect thing to recharge your body and mind. There are miles of trails with waterfront views that sure beat staring at a TV screen while you walk on a treadmill. You can stay around the city or go to nearby Boyd Hill Nature Park with six miles of trails that include a Sand Scrub Trail and a Pine Flatwoods Trail to experience the beauty of Florida.

2.     Climb a Wall
Vertical Ventures just opened its doors in St. Pete and has over 18,000 square feet of climbing spaces. They have rock climbing classes that will help you reach the top of their 40-foot tall mountain climbing walls and get in shape. These classes literally rock!

3.     Do Yoga
Every weekend, The SunDial hosts a free outdoor yoga class with Lululemon and some amazing local yoga instructors- for free. There is also a variety of special classes taking place in Vinoy Park, like the one the eve of the St. Anthony’s Triathalon. Tropicana Field is the stage for an annual yoga class that takes place before the Tampa Bay Rays play. A little yoga mixed with your favorite local team makes for a very relaxed fan!

4.     Get on the Water- SUP style
With the city being surrounded by water, many people are choosing to get off the land and onto the water for their fitness. C-Ride SUP store hosts weekly Stand-up Paddleboard Classes for beginners and more advanced athletes. The Body Electric Yoga Studio has a weekly SUP Yoga class for those that want to do their yoga on the water.

Life is fun when you exercise outside. Guaranteed that an outdoor exercise class will bring out the thoughts, “Wow! I am so lucky to live here!”.

The Salvador also has an outdoor deck with yoga space. Check out all our amenities at http://thesalvador.com/
